At Tendai Trust Association, the well-being of children is at the centre of the work we do. Through our child sponsorship program, our support will ensure a child does not miss out on essential services that enhance their life including: increased access to education, healthcare and more.
At Tendai Trust, we believe that community development is essential. With the help of our sponsors and donors, our humanitarian aid efforts develop a strong and sustainable framework for the most vulnerable communities. Each time we begin a project in one of these areas, we are one step closer to empowering communities and fulfilling our mission of ending poverty, while creating a better future for children.
We support the accessibility and quality of education for children around the world by providing them with educational facilities, tuition fees, materials and stationery. A community library was established as a resource centre for the learners to supplement their study materials.
We initiate projects to provide families and communities with affordable health care, proper nutrition, hygiene training and maternal and child health services without threatening or sacrificing their food security.
We help protect communities from contagious diseases by ensuring access to clean water, and a sanitary environment. Our Water, Sanitation and Hygiene projects also raise awareness on healthy and clean practices in the community

Iam Memory Chihwayi Matombo the founder of Tendai Trust is a mother 3 children, married in Rusape. I was born and bred in Mutoko, Nyamuzuzi, Village 14. For my entire schooling, I proudly attended Chikara Primary and Secondary School in Mutoko.
My parents would always send me out to check on the field crops against ravaging baboons, suddenly the idea of giving back to my community someday was born around the year of 1992. Most kids in the community were wallowing in abject poverty. Most parents would barely afford to send their kids to school let alone struggle to feed their families. I grew up with sad memories of a poor society. I was one of the few luck poor kids from my community to have an opportunity to work and live in the United States in 2002. The darkest period in my life then occurred in 2002, when my dear mother passed on. I took comfort, in her tragic death to start contributing to my local community. I collaborated with local community leaders in order to foster development and unity. I finally embraced the initiative to be the leader to my people. I then established Tendai Trust Association also in memory of my mother. Thank you mother for the mother love.
